Three New Cases!

After missing previous extensions and being given a final extension by the court, the Tate brothers finally filed a Second Amended Complaint. A Second Amended Complaint is an updated version of the previously dismissed lawsuit, where they are attempting to fix the reasons the original complaint was dismissed. This filing is for named defendants only, not the anonymous defendants. There will be additional hearings to determine whether personal jurisdiction and service were properly cured.

They have also filed a Pure Bill of Discovery, where they are suing X (Twitter) in an attempt to unmask the anonymous defendants who were dismissed from the original case. We have appeared in that case to argue First Amendment rights and to oppose their attempt to use our dismissed case as justification for unmasking. They have also claimed Florida has jurisdiction, despite the court already ruling that it does not. X has also appeared and is arguing lack of personal jurisdiction, First Amendment concerns, and that Tate did not file a valid claim. X has requested that the case be dismissed. There will be a hearing in the near future to determine whether the case is dismissed or allowed to proceed in a narrowed scope.

The Tate brothers have also filed an Appeal, arguing that they should be allowed to sue unnamed (anonymous) defendants in Florida state court. This was another reason the original case was dismissed. They previously attempted to reverse the judge’s decision by filing a Motion for Reconsideration, but it was denied. There will be hearings related to this Appeal.

Case Dismissed!

December 5, 2025

Major Update: The judge DISMISSED Andrew and Tristan Tate’s defamation lawsuit against us! Some defendants have had their case dismissed "without prejudice", meaning that while the lawsuit has ended for them, the Tates can choose to file again. Some defendants have had the claims against them dismissed "with leave to amend", which gives the Tates a limited window to decide whether they want to continue. Although they technically can refile, today’s ruling is an incredibly positive outcome for us.

The Tate brothers first brought this defamation suit back in March 2025 against citizen journalists and everyday people who have been covering their ongoing criminal cases.

Fighting Back Against Overreach

July 17th, 2025

We've formally objected to the plaintiffs' attempt to subpoena X (formerly Twitter) in order to obtain account information on multiple users, including both anonymous and named individuals. We believe this sets a dangerous precedent for online privacy, citizen journalism, and free speech.

Despite having 120 days to serve the defendants, the plaintiffs recently filed for an extension, admitting they hadn't served anyone during that time. We've objected to that extension as well.

This case isn't about truth or harm. We believe it's about exposure, intimidation, and silencing critics. Your support is helping us stand firm, protect our rights, and fight back through the proper legal channels.

Judge assigned at Tates' request

May 17th, 2025

The court granted the Tate brothers' request to transfer the case to Division AI, where they specifically requested the Honorable Judge Curley, citing his involvement in two other related cases:

Tate v. Jane Doe

A defamation case against a US citizen (and her parents) identified by Romanian authorities as a trafficking victim.

Iasmina v. Gabby

A civil case between two of the Tate brothers' alleged trafficking victims.

Both cases are presided over by Judge Curley, and the same attorney representing the Tate brothers in this case, Thomas Maniotis, also represents Iasmina in hers against Gabby.

Judge Curley and attorney Thomas Maniotis are now involved in three related cases: this one, Tate v. Jane Doe, and Iasmina v. Gabby. This alignment of judge, attorney, and related parties could become increasingly relevant as the case moves forward.
